LPI Central Europe and Thomas-Krenn.AG support „Kindern Eine Chance“ in Uganda with solar systems

(Freyung and Kassel, Germany: December 22, 2010): Linux Professional Institute Central Europe and Thomas-Krenn.AG finance two solar systems for computing class rooms for the association „Kindern eine Chance“ in Uganda. „Kindern eine Chance“ is a private initiative which was founded  in Austria in 2008. By now, they enable 400 children around  Zigoti in Uganda to visit school regularly. Stefan Pleger, board member of „Ärzte ohne Grenzen“ Austria and co-initiator of  „Kindern eine Chance“ believes sustainable aid is particularly important. A boarding school building for orphans and a Demonstration Farm are already in operation for a year. Currently, the support for local schools is expanded through the „School Support Network“. The support includes providing books and school furniture, and constructing school buildings and  water tanks. Moreover, donated laptops shall be used for computing lessens. Many of these villages do not have electricity. The two donated solar systems will enable computing lessons in two villages.

About "Kindern eine Chance":
In Uganda there are thousands of orphans without support, without the opportunity to go to school- simply without any chance to escape this cycle of poverty, lack of education and hopelessness.  „Kindern eine Chance“ (www.kinderneinechance.at) is an initiative, which wants to give this chance to some children.
