Linux Professional Institute actively participates at CeBIT 2014 in Hanover

(Kassel, Germany: February 10, 2014) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced its active participation at CeBIT 2014 in Hanover. LPI will be represented at CeBIT through talks, exam labs, as sponsor, and an information booth.

The following presentations will be held by LPI speakers at CeBIT:

1. "Open Source Professionals and the Third Platform”, a talk by Jim Lacey, President and CEO of the Linux Professional Institute, Thursday March 13, 2014 from 13:00 - 13:45 at CeBIT Special Conference Open Source in Hall 6.

2. "Open Standard for e-Skills: the European e-Competence Framework", a talk by Klaus Behrla, Managing Director LPI Central Europe, Monday March 10, 2014 from 9:30 - 10:00 at CeBIT Special Conference Open Source in Hall 6.

3. "Verbessern Sie Ihre Karrierechancen mit Open Source und Linux Zertifizierungen", a talk by Klaus Behrla, Managing Director LPI Central Europe, Wednesday March 12, 2014 from 13:30 - 14:00 at Forum Jobs&Karriere, Hall 9.

Exam Labs will be held Wednesday, March 12 to Friday, March 14, 2014 each at 14:00 and 17:00 at LPI Partner “Multi-Media Berufsbildende Schule Hannover (MMBBS)”, Expo Plaza 3, Hanover (, near the entrance to the fair grounds. All CeBIT 2014 exam lab participants, who register under before Monday March 3, 2014, will receive an online ticket for the CeBIT. The following exams will be offered: LPI Linux Essentials – in German and English, LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 (101, 102, 201, 202) - in German and English, LPIC-3 (300, 303 and 304) - in English and the Univention Certified Professional exam (LPI 198) - in English.
Candidates must bring their LPI ID and a government issued photo identification to the exam lab in order to take any LPI exam. The LPI ID can be requested online under the following URL:
