GONICUS and LPI participated successfully at LinuxTag 2012

Many contacts, good conversations and a qualified audience - LinuxTag 2012: a complete success

(Arnsberg and Kassel, Germany, June 4, 2012) GONICUS and the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) are happy about visitor growth, audience, and high exam numbers at this year's LinuxTag in Berlin. The joint appearance was a complete success.

The LinuxTag as biggest European event for Linux and Open Source Software is still central contact point for providers, interested parties ans experts. The growing number of visitors in 2012 confirms the successful concept as meeting point of business and community. The Linux Professional Institute and the GONICUS GmbH had a share in this success with their joint booth.

„A high-class lecture program and many interesting exhibitors provided a large and qualified audience“. GONICUS CEO Alfred Schröder sums up. Therefore GONICUS had many interesting conversations with potential customers, but also with potential new employees. Especially the first joint appearance with LPI with focus on winning new employees was very successful. GONICUS is already looking forward to LinuxTag 2013.

„The LPI exams were again very well accepted during this year's LinuxTags, even better than the years before,“ said Klaus Behrla, CEO at LPI Central Europe, and continues „which affected both the LPIC as well as the new Linux Essentials exams. At this event we had 142 LPIC exams and 67 Linux Essentials beta exams. Also the workshop about the new Linux Essentials program was well attended, and we had many requests about this topic at our information booth.“ LPI was again "Certification & Bronze Partner" at LinuxTag 2012.
