LPI Partner of the Month August 2012: Open Source School

The Open Source School GmbH is LPI Approved Training Partner and our LPI Partner of the Month August 2012.

The Munich Open Source School offers since its founding in April 2008 seminars for practical use of Free and Open Source software and in-house training at the customer offices. As LPI Approved Training Partner Open Source School offers preparation courses leading towards certifications LPIC-1, LPIC-2 and LPIC-3. At the end of each course there is an offer to pass the LPI exams inhouse at Open Source School.

Close collaboration with publisher Open Source Press

The Open Source School works closely together with its sister company, the publisher Open Source Press. The large network of well experienced Open Source specialists guarantees students first hand knowledge. They have the opportunity to get to know authors of books on topics such as "LPI", "Git", "HTML5", "TYPO3", "Bacula" and to grill them as those authors are trainers at Open Source School.

Open Source Press publishes by end of August 2012 the new preparation book on the LPI exam "Linux Essentials". This book written by Christian Hesse and Michael Gisbers is recommended to all those who want to document as part of school education or career education they have acquired basic skills in Linux system administration with the new certification.

Moreover, at Open Source Press preparation books on the LPI certifications "LPIC-1", "LPIC-2" and "LPI 301" have been published already. The 4th edition of the book "LPIC-2" is available since july 2012 and up to date with the new exam contents valid from August 1, 2012.
