LPI Partner Of The Month August 2011: GFN AG

The GFN is a German IT training company, which offers current training and certification for system integrators, network administrators, IT decision makers and users, amongst others for Linux and Open Source products. Since 2004, the GFN is already „LPI Approved Training Partner“ and in August 2011 our „LPI Partner of the Month“. Furthermore, the GFN is founding member of LPI e.V., set up as German LPI substitution in 2003.

Besides classic IT training topics about operating systems, data bases, e-mail and group ware systems, as well as security, user training soft skill training and training as a sales specialist are also offered. New and innovative training concepts have been developed to facilitate the start of a career for job applicants, career changers and new entrants. Thus emerged the modular learning concepts MosA!K and TriFORUM for further training of unemployed professionals, rehabilitants, and soldiers, especially in IT. On average, 80% of the alumni find a new employment afterwards.

For its corporate and private customers, GFN offers training such as Open Training, special customized business seminars, weekend training, boot camps, evening events, e-learning, and blended learning. Many small and big companies owe the qualification of their employees to GFN.


With "Hybrid Admin Windows & Linux", GFN offers, in cooperation with Linux New Media AG, a new combination of online and classroom training. As part of the training, participants will be prepared to successfully pass LPIC-1 certification and MCITP Server Administrator. Besides their head quarters in Heidelberg, the GFN is operating nationwide at their twelve locations: Hamburg, Berlin, Kassel, Cologne, Koblenz, Darmstadt, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Munich und Donaueschingen. Another location is in Puerto de la Cruz/Tenerife.
